Your questions, our answers.

Is 1,000 IU of vitamin D per day too much?

No. 1,000 IU (25µg) is a quarter of the 100µg daily upper limit the NHS advises for adults. It comfortably covers the 10µg adults need each day, so one tablet is plenty. Just check the vitamin D in anything else you take.

Is vitamin D3 the same as vitamin D?

Vitamin D3 is one form of vitamin D. There are two main types: D3 (cholecalciferol), which your skin makes from sunlight and is found in foods like oily fish and eggs, and D2 (ergocalciferol), which comes from plants and fungi. Our tablets use vitamin D3.

What is the best time of day to take vitamin D?

There’s no best time of day. What matters is taking it every day, so pick a time you’ll remember. It’s best taken with a meal, which makes breakfast an easy one to build into your routine.

What should you not mix with vitamin D?

Avoid other supplements that contain vitamin D, unless you’ve checked your daily total stays under 100µg. That includes multivitamins and our G1 Nutrition Blend, which has 25µg per serving. If you take regular medication, speak to your pharmacist or GP first.
